Greetings to anyone who might be taking Centrum Silver or knows of someone taking this product.
Are you aware that this product could be made up of test-tube, synthetic vitamins? It definately has sucrose (read the label: sugar, glucose) added. It also has Sodium Benzoate, a preservative that is found in our soft drinks and other foods such as jams, pickles and salad dressings. Also on the label are other items of concern, such as artificial colors.
Synthetics? Sugar? Preservatives in our vitamins? How can this be good for us? It can't.
(Never doubt that one's body knows the difference between natural and synthetic--just as you know the difference between a silk flower and a real one.) Regardless of the television commercials, this product is probably not THE complete nutrition for anyone over 50. Besides the preservatives, here's why:
* It does not contain N-acetylcysteine an important antioxidant for senior adults.
* The amount of Lycopene in the product is so small it is probably insignificant.
* It does not contain phosphorus and the Biotin is at only 10%, calcium is at a measly 20%, and only 2% of potassium.
Did you know that every six seconds, someone turns 50 in the United States? And as we mature, our body’s demand for nutritional support increases as our ability to absorb different nutrients – vitamins B6,B12, C, D, and K– decreases. Plus, taking certain prescription drugs can put us at greater risk for depletion of additional important nutrients like riboflavin and zinc.
Vita-Lea Gold is the only multi for people 50+ that gives you a choice of formulas: with vitamin K for its bone-building benefits and without vitamin K for those taking a blood-thinning medication (anticoagulant).
* 50% of Shaklee's Vita-Lea Gold's vitamin A comes from beta carotene; Centrum Silver's is only 29% beta Carotene.
* Vita-Lea Gold has Biotin 300 mcg, Centrum Silver only has 30 mcg (which is tough for someone with a family history of thinning hair)
* Vita-Lea Gold has 70 mcg of Selenium and Centrum Silver has only 20 mcg
* And Boron (An Amino Acid Chelate), Vita-Lea Gold has 1,000 mcg, Centrum Silver has only 150 mcg
Yes, Centrum Silver is cheaper than Shaklee's product - but why take a product that may be of little value for your body's nutritional needs? I don't, and your mom, dad, aunt or grandpa shouldn't either.
So here's my idea--I will give DADBA members and their families a special exchange offer for their Centrum Silver.
Give me your box of Centrum Silver and together we will fill out a health assessment. Then go to my wesbite and order Shaklee's Vita-Lea Gold. (With or without Vitamin K)
Next take our Vita-Lea Gold as directed for 2 months. If you honestly can not feel the difference, return the empty Vita-Lea Gold bottles to me and I will buy you a box of Centrum Silver, (or any other vitamin of the same value).
However, if you feel better and keep taking our Vita-Lea Gold, I will give you a free gift, plus pay the shipping on your next Shaklee Vita-Lea Gold purchase.
Try it, you'll like it!
Blessings,
Linda
