Award Judges Needed!

Soroptimist International of Wyandotte-Southgate-Taylor is in need of several judges for our upcoming awards. There are three awards:

Women's Opportunity Award - Given to a female head of household looking to further her education.

Violet Richardson Award - Given to a high school aged girl (14 - 17) that volunteers in her community.

Virginia Wagner Award - Given to a women pursuing a higher degree (Bachelor's, Master's or PhD).

If you are willing to help us judge these awards, please contact me. The winners will go on to compete for even greater award amounts at district, region and federation levels (last year, each Women's Opportunity Award Region level winner won a laptop computer along with her monetary award). Helping us to judge helps these women and girls have a better life for themselves and their families.

Thanks Barb! I'll provide more details as they become available. We provide a scoring sheet and copies of all of the applications, so it doesn't take a lot of time, and its a nice way to help make a real difference in someone's life.
