I've really learned over the last new days the benefits of regular exercise. Bob came down with H1N1 and was hospitalized for four days. I've been able to avoid it, and I think its because I've been getting regular exercise.
I've also recently read that if you work out before your flu shot, it will make the shot more effective. So, for those of you in the high risk group that gets a vaccine, consider a workout before. And for those of you that don't believe in vaccines, or that are not in a high risk group - get some regular exercise to help keep your immune system working at its peak.
For the ladies in our group, make sure to visit our members Beth and Linda at Curves Riverside on Maple Street in Wyandotte. They offer a 30 minute low impact workout that works all major muscle groups, plus gives you a cardio workout at the same time! Thirty minutes, three times a week - to a better, healther you!!
Oh, by the way!! I lost FIVE pounds during our five week fitness challenge!

Hey Sue... that is GREAT advice! Regular exercise is one of the keys to healthy living. I need to do more of that.
Congratulations on your weight loss. I need more of that TOO!
