As I have said in the past, each time I attend an IBR I get something new to put into practice, or a reminder of what I am doing right. Last night's IBR was a reminder night, but it also reinforced [to John] that I was on the right track.
Last night we talked about follow-up. We discussed how essential it is to follow-up quickly without pushing our business or product, knowing that building a relationship first is paramount to building trust.
Now when I rush home from a gathering and get on the computer and send an email to someone I just met, John will understand the 'why' of it all instead of grumbling that I am always on the computer.
(I am, but it's good business.)
