A couple slices of ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, bread, juice and a salad. Ham dinner in general makes people happy. Laura and myself this morning helped out new DADBA members Senior Alliance with their holdiay meal delivery. Now it could have been a cheesburger in the box, because the food has nothing to do with the program. My thoughts of the program and from the reaction we received, is the significance of remembering that the person your delivering to is still there. The happy faces we saw, the warm greetings and genuine thanks for stopping by, the warm wishes back to us on our food delivery route. Priceless. A couple slices of ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, bread, juice and a salad. Good by all standards, even better when you receive it because someone cares enough to bring it to you or someone cares enough to cook it for you. This Easter, time with family and friends. Enjoy every bite, every smile, every moment and if you don`t know what to do with all the leftovers, make up a couple meals in a box or ziplock. Take Fort St. heading north into the city, probably 4- 5 miles pass the city line and you will know what to do with those leftovers. A couple slices of ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, bread, juice and a salad. You will know what that means to someone else, and you will feel as I feel today. Truly blessed.
