with nothing to do??? Here's a simple project. Take your video camera, or even your digital camera, and make a tour of your house. Open drawers, open closets, make sure you video all your stuff. Then take that tape, dvd, whatever you used, and put it in a fire proof place, perhaps you have a safe, or a safety deposit box? IF the tape or dvd you're using can handle it, wrap it securely, put it in ziplock bag and put it in ...the freezer. (usually the inside of the freezer doesn't burn).
Then if the worst case scenario ever happens to your house, and the claims adjuster asks the inevitable question, "can you list what was in your house". You'll be able to pull out the tape/dvd and actually have an answer to that question.
Plus this process might give you an idea that somethings might need special insurance protection. but that's another post......

Awesome idea Mary.
Might I suggest that this DVD shows a date or someone speaks it at some time on the tour.
How about giving some pricing facts--like we purchased this china at xyz company and it cost $$$? Would that help???
Blessings, Linda

Excellent thoughts Linda, But even if you don't know how much it was, or where you bought it, still do the walk thru, and do add the date!
