You never know what the tide might bring in. Now if you saw the movie Castaway, which I had a chance to watch this holiday break. You know what i`m writing about. If you haven`t I promise, I won`t wreck the movie for you.
Tom Hanks plays a guy named Chuck who is marooned on an island for roughly four years after a plane crash. He has to survive on a daily basis with what God gives him. Which is not much. Now if you have not seen the movie go rent it, if you have seen it. Watch it again.
Now regardless if you seen the movie. Marooned has come up in many conversations I had lately. Many feel that all is lost, business is down, customers are far and few between, the government has forgotten about them.
A good line from the movie: “I know what I’ve got to do. I’ve got to keep breathing. Because tomorrow the sun will come up …and you never know what the tide might bring in.”
You never know what the tide might bring in. 9 simple words to live by.Years of hardship and struggles, years of survival, where survival is a choice. Marooned is only a reflection of how you see things, and I tell you now. You are not alone, there are alot of people stuck on the island. So together we will all wait for the tide to come in. We will work on a boat.
Because tomorrow the sun will come up............ .

Thanks Sharrie and Tim! The tide will be coming January 21st, it will wash over the beach very fast though, this incoming tide will last about 3- 4 weeks, and then sadly the tide will go out again. When it returns again after that, that is a good question.
PS: Like being a VP at the DC

I didn't remember that line either, Kevin, but it's a good point. Especially these days--but you never know what tomorrow will bring. "It" has to turn around sometime--and that turnaround could be...your next client....Either way--each day we are one day closer to when things will improve.

I think the 'tide' turns best when we redirect it. I know mine turned when I joined DADBA.
But prior to that, the tide [$] came in on schedule, usually with only bits and pieces [driftwood--usual and only a few unexpected sales at best]. Now I am learning how to turn that tide through different methods.
My tide increased about 34% since joining and unexpected sales from various communities and states have increased also because of posting on THIS DADBA BOARD.
Planning ahead, and then taking action moves my tide. Blessings, Linda
