Ancient Egyptians believed that upon death they would be asked two questions and their answers would determine whether they could continue their journey in the afterlife.
The first question was, "Did you bring joy?"
The second was, "Did you find joy?"

I had a chance to have a nice dinner last night with friends. I was thinking to myself, this is great, a nice slow dinner, how relaxing. I did not time the event but it lasted about 3 hours, just for dinner. During dinner the following thoughts crossed my mind which ignited some morning research over coffee.
The French work on average 35 hour work weeks, the Germans average work week is 30 hours , their production is up 20%
An average European vacation is 4-6 weeks a year. Did you ever ask yourself how or why this is possible? The answer is quality of their work.
Doing some reading on the slow down philosophy Taking more time to do what you want in life, enjoying life and enjoying your time leads to quality work along with quality decisions. It surely seems like a hard concept to understand. It all starts with you enjoying every minute of your life, putting thoughts into decisions that have a positive influence on you, and others around you.
It is the the no deadline philosophy when working on projects. For example: your work is art, instead of painting 100 paintings a year and earn a smaller fee for each painting, you paint 5 masterpieces a year and each painting is worth the value of 100 paintings. Quality over volume has been lost over the years, and a dedication to your life, and the work you produce that is meaningful and brings others joy or success in turn will bring you joy and success
I would encourage all to take some of your precious time to look into the slow down philosophy Let`s face it 30,000 days of life we all have on average. So many things to do, so many things to see. So much time for family and friends, for loving everything this world has to offer us. That will indeed give you joy, higher productivity, less stress, and more wealth.
