I was down at Jorgensen's today. Getting covered in Ford Blue paint. Doing some work on Frank`s office.
Sometimes you witness something so incredible, it needs to be written.
A gentleman came to the dealership to buy a car, looking for a car in the $3500 price range. He was in the lot kicking the tires, checking out many of the fine cars on the lot. One of the dealers was really trying to sell this man a car. Maybe overkill in sales, I am not sure. The gentleman and the other dealer went in the office to discuss the sale. One way or the other the man was somewhat fed up and leaving the office shaking his head. Frank is on the outside of the office, (watching me get covered in paint) and out comes this gentleman.
Such kind words Frank had for him, I recall hearing " Did my sales agent help you out?, what can I do to help you get this car today?, I have the opportunity to make you happy, I will. Come back inside my friend, lets get you this car"
In the matter of minutes with kind words, and a nice smile Frank closed that deal and sold the car. I encourage everyone to have a sit down with Frank and talk about sales techniques, especially if you are struggling with sales, or need more information on closing the sale. Frank closes $3500-$15,000 sales I would assume 5-6 times a day.
It was a real nice car for $3500 but the car was not the reason this gentleman decided to buy, the reason this man bought the car was, because he was told to do so.
Told to do so in a very friendly and polite manner.

Wonderfully said. Frank is a master of sales and I have many times said he should become a sales trainer. Watching him in action is simply a true learning experience.

Now we just have to get Frank to use Danase products on those cars.

Well said, Kevin. I've only met Frank once, but he has quite the following, so I feel like I know him. I think a couple things stand out to me from what you said. Frank is very kind and personable, and it's genuine. So, people feel very comfortable very quickly. And, he in trying to "help" the customers, has learned to listen more than talk and not be obsessed with (at least on the outside) "I have to make this sale!" Desperation never goes over well. And look at that--he "told" the client to buy the car, but was not deemed "pushy" which so many people are afraid of!

I think the guy bought the car because Frank actually cared that this man purchased what he wanted.
The guy wanted to buy that car. Maybe the sales person was trying to sell. Never works. A turn off for most people.
I believe most people have already decided what they want. They just need someone to give it to them. Meet Frank just once and you KNOW that Frank T. Bentley is not in sales to get another notch on his belt or to get rich quick.
Frank gives the client what the client wants: a positve purchase experience.
Blessings, Linda
