I have to share with you my first appointment this morning and to tell you what an inspiration this organization is! I met with John Dziurgot this morning... he runs the show over at Gleaners. They are a donation driven food bank for the area and are building a brand new "store" that those in need can shop at.
The organization dedicated to stopping the hunger that plagues the downriver community. I got the tour of their new facility that will provide the people in the community a place to get the food they need in a dignified manner.
Like all non-profits, they struggle with not having enough support and awareness from the communities that they help.
John is coming on board as a DADBA member and I am sure that he will be better suited to tell you what their needs are ~ but if you are considering donating your time or money... this is just another great effort in our community to support.
