I'm curious how many people would consider a scratch removal service for your vehicle's paint? I'm looking into getting into this and wanted to see if there was any interest from people first. It would be great for people with leases, people wanting to sell their vehicles, and people like me that want to keep up the appearance of their vehicles. A rule of thumb is if you can catch a scratch with your finger nail it is too deep to polish out and would need to be painted. Those scratches I'd be able to color match and fix. It's just a little expensive jump to get into because you need all of the colors and equipment but I think it could pay for itself fairly quick.

I had a 5" scratch and Chrysler charged $120 to fix it. It was probably alot cheaper than a collision shop.
If you can get a couple of dealerships then it would be worth it.

I am worried about that with my lease..... I am going to have to have something done before it is turned in. I would pay for that for sure rather than getting zapped on the dealership end.....

A collision shop would of painted the entire panel. I think dealers usually use outside contractors to do scratch removal and dent removal. $120 seems about right for such a job. I was just thinking of pricing and was thinking about $20 per inch of scratch up to a certain width.

I just turned a lease in and had several scratches from a garbage can tipping over onto the truck. Luckily they came out with a polisher because they where not that deep. I also just did a detail on a F-150 for another lease turn in. The interior was not too bad dirt wise but the seats where stained so bad you could not tell what the original color was. LOL

I told you if you used Danase products to detail your cars on the lot I'd of bought my new car from you. I have to deal with people that deal with me first and foremost. My dealer uses my products so in return he gets my car business and gets my recommendations when friends and family are looking for cars.

Danase Detailing Supply will be selling a scratch removal / paint color matching kit very soon. It'll be great for the professional detailer, auto, boat, rv, motorcycle and so on dealers, and anyone looking to start a nice little business fixing scratches. The kit will run under $1500, not a bad price when you figure the money you can make doing this or the money you will save doing this, and will include:
• 44 1 oz. bottles of premixed paint (enough paint to touch up over 1000 cars). 9 silvers, 7 golds, 5 reds, 6 greens, 6 blues, 3 bright whites, 1 off white, 1 deep white, 3 blacks, 1 metallic black, 1 orange, 1 yellow.
• 6 touchup brushes from small (2mm) to large (2 cm).
• 1 beveled squeegee for repairing deep chips.
• 8 oz. of PaintLeveler, our specially formulated chemical which removes the excess paint above and around a touchup repair that causes the "blobbing" and "scarring" effect seen in typical repairs.
• 4 oz. of paint prep/cleaner to clean the repair area and ensure optimal bonding of touchup paint.
• 4 oz. of paint thinner for removal of paint transfer and cleanup of paint tools (paint from other cars and objects that caused the scratch)
• 4 oz. of paint reducer for thinning out paint to reduce its thickness when necessary.
• 4 oz. of Applied Colors polish.
• 1 roll of Shop Towels for cleanup and excess paint removal.
• 1 foam block used in the application of PaintLeveler.
• Color chip sample set with all ScratchOut colors. Hold a sample set up to the vehicle and quickly choose a color.
• 2000 grit wetsanding kit for removal of clearcoat scratches.
• 1 28" x 12" x 11" waterproof two level toolbox that houses the entire kit.

Sounds like a good price! Does this include any hands on training?

Sounds like a good price! Does this include any hands on training? I could offer hands on training but it's pretty simple and the directions are easy to understand. Plus I should have a video up on my site as well.
