Starting at every end of November before dinner I go out in the backyard and sprinkle a couple of cups of bird feed in the backyard, also make sure the bird feeder is filled up. I do this daily all winter long. I make sure it is full before morning, so the birds do not have to look around for food. I have alot of birds in my backyard. I do this because I like birds.(also cause I think there pecking at the seeds is aerating my grass and soil) I buy 20lb bags of bird seed at ace for 4.99, I will probably go through about 40 bags over the winter. Thinking to myself ... boy this is sure alot like DADBA, not only me but other members spreading bird seed (information and help), you may be a weak bird, and need a little seed to get you through the winter, so you can be strong come spring. Regardless I would say with the winter condition probably 2 out of 5 birds will probably move out of state or die. On the same note, same for the business owner. Before winters end probably 2 out of 5 will be out of business or getting a job. I guess the main question is... How much seed do you want? Think you need some of that seed, DADBA IBR`s are Tuesday at 7PM at the firehouse. Check The Calendar For Topics And More Information

Fertilization comes by way of many forms. ~Sometimes it's with bird dodo. (actually fertilizing) ~Sometimes it's with action. (bird beaks aerating the ground) ~Sometimes it come with listening. (I remember a Captain Kangaroo program where he read a book about a bird who soaked up suns' rays and told stories to those who needed warmth during the winter months.)
I think our IBR's are all three.
Come and see what we mean when we all say we learn something at each IBR.
Blessings, Linda
