Dear Kevin & Laura,
I am sorry to inform you I need to cancel my DADBA membership. I have alloted the membership dues for other business costs.
I appreciate all your help and support during my start up, and during the course of my membership. Maybe if things get better you will see me rejoin at a later date.
Sincerely,
XXXXXXXX

Dear XXXXXXX,
If you are worried about the membership dues, at this point we would advise you to start updating your resume and start looking for a job. You are not financially fit to operate any type of business. Anything we can do for you in the future do not hesitate to ask.
Best of Luck To You,
Kevin & Laura
My thoughts on the email:
This economy is terrible. You have to work extra hard not to become a statistic. Every waking minute, every possible minute spared to you, are you thinking about your business? Are you meeting new people, are you marketing? Are you calculating, are you tracking? Are you thinking of ways to improve your business, are you working? Are you posting questions, are you calling other members for advice? Are you advertising?
You need to be. As stated countless times on this board.
This is not easy. Four out of seven business ventures will fail.
Work hard, every single day. Do not rely on a couple of customers. As soon as you get a new customer, manage them, sell extra services or products and move on to more customers.
Have you ever heard that statistic that 80% of working Americans are one paycheck away from bankruptcy. The statistic for new business owners are the same, but more to the account. One customer loss from closing up shop.... for good.
Everyday or night, you have to work on something! Once you get past the 5 year mark, you can take a day off.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The man who wins is the average man,
Not built on any particular plan;
Not blessed with any particular luck –
Just steady and earnest and full of pluck.
The man who wins is the man who works,
Who neither labor nor trouble shirks;
Who uses his hands, his head, his eyes-
The man who wins is the man who tries.
