I post on the bulletin board daily. I attend almost every DADBA event. I hand out business cards to everyone I meet! I try to be nice and polite to everyone I meet and help them, just as much as they help me.

I know for sure I need to improve my networking skills, I am horrible at getting up in front of people and talking and stuff like that. I was just talking with a DADBA member the other day about how many member's I have used for stuff and only one has ever purchased from me.

Bob,
I would say its safe to say that every DADBA member owns a car. Many 2 if not more cars. So thats probably 500-1000 cars! You are a great person. Very knowledgable about your products. Maybe you don`t think so....but you have a great personality. I would think you would do very good within a group meeting, bringing a dozen of your most popular products to the evening get togethers, and selling them there.
Also: What a great gift for the holidays (husbands and boyfriends, whoever). A basket of some sort of all the most popular chemicals and tools for us to detail our own cars.

I'm glad I saw this before tonight's networking meeting. I have admired people who do this well. My goal for this meeting will be to just chat with three people i've not met yet. I know this is the right thing to do, but if you aren't really good at it, it's not easy. Mary, tonight's networking event will be a good one for you. You will not have to talk into a microphone...just be your self.
Catch me and I will introduce you to one person, then ask that one person to introduce you to someone they know--by the end of the meeting you should have met with several 'regulars' as well as newbies and the next meeting you will quickly feel at ease recognizing familiar faces.
