You A Whiner or A Winner?

I come across contractors that want to whine about everything. Oh business is terrible , Oh nobody is buying right now!

Everywhere I go they already have a service and don`t need me,

My customer wanted me to do this, my customer wanted extra

work done......its so bad, boooo hoooooo.

Venting is one thing, but the same whining over and over.... I say the problem is you.

Winners will never be whiners because they understand what can possibly happen before it happens, they have a possible outcome to a situation, before the situation takes place. Winners have a plan and strategy of attack, understanding there will be a percentage of failure, before the failure happens. Winners step up perform action, and do there best to take care of such action, before being asked to do it.

Whiners on the other hand, sit back and wait to be asked, then whine about doing such action,

Changing yourself from a Whiner to a Winner can be hard. If you are used to whining about everything and you always feel you get the short end of the sick, that the world owes you something.

You need to realize that when it comes to everything,Winners just plan better to perform the action.

Winners will take the short end of the stick, because its still a stick, better to have the short end, than no stick at all. Winners will then break that stick up into 20 pieces and sell each piece maximizing profit.

Winners also think the world owes them something too, but they take action and collect.

I learn a lot from my children. My oldest son, Ethan is very much a "glass half full" kind of a guy. He always sees things in the most positive light. If he gets punished and isn't allowed to play video games, for example, you might hear him say something like, "at least I can still play football outside or go read my book." The absolute best example is one night when he was 3 years old. He was throwing up and I asked him how he was doing. He simply replied "Great" because in Ethan's world, things are almost always great. I was laughing too much to ask him to describe in detail what was so great at that moment...maybe he was proud that he made it to the toilet instead of his bed or the floor. Maybe it was great that he had both his parents there attending to his needs. Maybe he felt better just getting it over with. I guess I'll never know, but I learned something that night. I try to always look for the positive things as well. When you focus on the positive, more good stuff comes your way. Have a GREAT day...no whining, just winning! Sorry if you've read this while eating leftover turkey and stuffing!
