Thanks to Laura, Kevin, Mark and the other DADBA Expo Team - for putting on a great event.
I must admit I often worry about events that are open to the public turning into a senior citizen "what are you givin' away" event. Then when the very first visitors to my booth were two little old ladies asking me if the highlighters were free - I thought here we go...
Then as the event went on - I set up two lunch appointments (still to be confirmed) - I have 5 quotes to do today, and handed out 120 Highlighters (plus the additional highlighters put on all the vendor tables) as well as catalogs.
Not to mention the countless conversations and relationships that were made and expanded.
It is hard to measure the success of an event like this (unless you are Leanna – Congrats…GREAT JOB!!)
It is not unlikely that I will have calls 6 months even a year from now stating that they picked up my info at the DADBA event and are ready to order.
Again – great Job to everyone!

I agree!! It started out slow last night but I did connect with the right people. It would have taken 100's of phone calls.visits, letters to get to these great people I met!! It just goes to show if you have 1000 or 100 all you need is the one contact. Kudos to Laura and the DADBA Team for pulling off this event. Laura if you need help on the next one feel free to call me. It also was great meeting people that I have seen in the last few months. I am now clearing my Wednesday schedules so I can attend the networking events.. I was just thinking maybe we should do B2B event. Thanks to a wonderful group!

KUDOS to the DADBA Members & Crystal Gardens!!! Thank you all for participating!! YOUR booths looked fantastic and you all did a great job of getting people there!! That is it for this year as far as the expo's go... But our plan next year is to do one a quarter so look for another event around Feb. Even with the burned out marquee I think that we had a good turnout... from what I can gather (haven't done an official count yet...) I think that there were about 300 people that came through the door.... not to shabby! I hope that you all were successful in making some good contacts! I also wanted to thank everyone for donating a door prize ~ that always helps draw the public in too!! That and the free goodies for the seniors!! LOL!!! Right Tim!?!?!?! I thought that same thing when I saw those two ladies walk through the door!!! Tim, thank you for the bags!!! They were a huge help too!!!

DADBA family, it was so nice to see all the visitors to our Expo, but it was really nice to see familiar faces also.
Everyone of those family and friends who I sent a special invitation to, came--and participated, not just looked. Here are a couple:
1) My sister came and bought some jewelry. 2) Then she booked a party with one of the vendors, and my cousin is booking a party through her for this vendor--win/win/win. 3) A friend came and made an appointment with another vendor. 4) Another person created a SendOutCard. 5) A former co-worker gained very helpful information on the Information Center. And the list goes on...
All in all it was a great time, and a positive message traveled through the community. Way to go DADBA!!
Blessings, Linda

Kudos! Everyone did a great job! What I really liked about the expo was to see everyones products and services. Along with the care and pride put into setting up tables and displays. Alot different than a normal meeting where everyone gets a minute to talk. They might not be a good public speaker, so the table product setting might be better for them. Also for the ones that do come to meetings, talking about their products and actually seeing hands on exactly what they have, makes a difference. It really gives everyone the opportunity to shine. I would like to see a monthly contest of some sorts, maybe members with websites that are linked back to DADBA Those names put in a hat and three to four winners drawn a month, and they win a table setting at the next night meeting. Maybe something like that, a recurring monthly contest. I really like to see the table settings.

What a good idea Kevin. A DADBA member showcase is perfect. And we all know how much I love contests.
You are right, this is a great way to get to know the products and services of each member. The more we learn about each other, the better we can refer our friends and family who need just what DADBA offers.
I'm looking forward to all these new ideas germinating and taking root. (:-)
Blessings, Linda
