Wow. What a wonderful event. Last night's ABO--After Business Ours--was great thanks to the superb efforts of hosts, Teri and Mike from Nicolo's Banquet and Catering.
From the decorations (Hawaii theme--picture this: Al Bates from Second Step in Wyandotte in a grass skirt ;D ) to the delicious food--mmmm...fresh salads and sweet-n-sour chicken over rice, to the good company and networking fun with our Chamber members, I had a wonderful time. I met some new people, and chatted with a few long-time friends.
Some surprising twists to top off the end of my uniquely different-from-the-ordinary day (a day where I'd been immorally propositioned by a widowed airplane pilot, with 3 cats, just before going to the ABO) --was an offer for another job and then there were several compliments on my recent weight loss--2 inches from the hips, thank you, thank you--which gave me an opportunity to share Shaklee's weight loss secret--Cinch.
All in all it was a great day.
If any DADBA member is not part of the SWCCC, and would like to check it out please call me. It would be an honor to show you around at the next ABO. Who knows who you'll see there? Maybe the networking will lead you to your next client, or maybe you'll get reaquainted with a friend from the past.
No matter what, it's a fun opportunity to get noticed within the community.
