DADBA Members - I have been approached by several restaurants in the city that would like to host a meeting.... I just wondered how good our turnout will be? We go into Detroit all the time - there are great restaurants there and I would love to get the city more involved in our group! Please let me know what you think! thanks, Laura  |

 Laura, I would love to go to the city for a meeting - especially the evening since I need to stay close to kids' schools in the morning and at lunchtime. Members that aren't as comfortable driving and parking in the city could carpool. Is Tom's Sushi bar a member? Their sushi is awesome! I also really like Sweet Lorraine's on Jefferson! I like the places Leanna mentioned along with a handful of other places. There are alot of places I would like to explore and go to, Sinbads would be nice for a meeting also with their full sized upstairs and deck. Also the at water / sweet water brewery is just dying for some attention it has about 7000 sq.ft.
There are good parts and bad parts of the city. In general though most of the revenue restaurants that can accommodate us have structured secure parking or private valet parking.

We've eaten in several places downtown and really enjoyed it. We plan on going to the Signature Grill on Riverfront Dr. soon. It's on the river & I'll let you know how it is.

Detroit Beer Company across from the Opera House is a great micro brew pub as well as Motor City Brewing Co. gotta love that Ghetto Blaster beer (shares a parking lot with Canfield Lofts).
