I don't think anyone would want Vista! I heard they had problems with it.

Yes vista is having alot of problems, And sadly if you buy a new computer 90% of them are comming with vista , some companies are letting you either have xp loaded on it , or you are able to downgrade to xp. Becareful when you buy that new computer for the holidays....

This is why you should buy from a DADBA Member!! If I have computer problems no more big box stores for me. (plus my extended warranty ran out)
If anyone buys a Compaq Laptop beware. My Laptop went through 2 Hard Drives but was covered under the extended warranty.
Best $300 I spent for a service contract.

Compaq? Ewww...
I sometimes cringe when people bring them into my shop. I have one on a work bench in the back that I swear to you is possessed. Doing research on the problems this laptop is having, I've read forums where owners and repair techs suspect that many of the problems are caused by leaving the machines powered down too long. That's like going away on vacation and returning to a car that has fallen apart in the drive way.
The only time I had a computer that was out of a box was way back when, on my IBM XT. Ever since, I've always built my own. I know what is in the machine, I know the reviews and capabilities of the components and I know how much, or if, the machine can be upgraded when needed.
