Have A Great Weekend!
You Deserve it!A mother's love is like an island In life's ocean vast and wide, A peaceful, quiet shelter From the restless, rising tide.
A mother's love is like a fortress And we seek protection there When the waves of tribulation Seem to drown us in despair.
A mother's love is a sanctuary Where our soul can find sweet rest From the struggle and the tension Of life's fast and futile quest.
A mother's love is like a tower Rising far above the crowd, And her smile is like the sunshine Breaking through a threatening cloud.
A mother's love is like a beacon Burning bright with Faith and Prayer And through the changing scenes of life We can find a haven there....
For a mother's love is fashioned After God's enduring love, It is endless and unfailing Like the love of Him above.
For God knew in His great wisdom That he couldn't be everywhere, So he put His little Children In a loving mother's care. -Helen Steiner Rice, A Mother's Love

Thanks Kevin. The poem is beautiful. What a wonderful, sensitive, intuitive guy you are. I hope every mom and mom-to-be, sister, aunt and daughter takes time to reflect on what a great gift we have in mothers. (Let's not forget that while most moms mother people, many others mother pets.) Love and mothering are usually interchangeable. Make it a daily activity to be at peace and enjoy the love of moms everywhere. It is through our moms that we first see the love of God. Peace and Blessings to all. Linda "We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature--trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence... We need silence to be able to touch souls." -- Mother Teresa
