I am tossing around the idea of renting some shop space to detail out of so I can detail year round. It doesn't have to be on a major street or antyhing. All I need is water, electricity, heat and a floor drain would be very helpfull. Also I would want to leave my detailing supplies there too, maybe one shelf full. I was thinking maybe someone had a shop that was too big for them and they didn't use part of it or something. I am looking to do this cheap since this won't be a full time gig.
Thanks in advance.

Hey Bob ~ have you talked with Frank Bentley about this.... I am not sure if he already has a detail guy but that may be a good fit.... If you are coming to the Christmas Party next week he will be there and I can introduce you to him if you two haven't already met.

A home 2+ car garage would even work as long as I can get larger cars and some trucks in there.

Hey Bob ~ Have you talked with Bob Hodge from Capable Construction? I think that he is looking at a "warehouse space" in Wyandotte somewhere and may have some room for you...

I have an awesome building for that type of work - it is just not right for retail. When you come to look at the vinyl cutter... you can look at it. My landlord wants $1800.00 a month, but worked with me on a graduated lease because he does not want it vacant (my lease started at $800.00mth for 6mths!). It is on Eureka between 4th & 5th street. It has 5500 square feet, 3 offices, a retail/service area, a workroom with a door you can drive a car or SUV through, a storage/warehouse/work type area that has a 2 car garage door, and a back end that connects to the alley and has 4 parking spots indoors and serviced by 2 huge overhead doors big enough to get an Extended Van and/or a large 28ft RV into!

I forgot to mention... Kevin Carnahan would like to use part of this building to store and clean his vehicles. Maybe you guys could work something out to keep the costs down...

Thanks Carol! The building next to MBT right? That is a nice building but I honestly can't afford something like that right now. This is just a side gig for me honestly.
Thanks for thinking of me though!

And I don't even need a floor drain really. As long as it's ok for the floor to get a little wet I can do rinsless washes with No Rinse Wash.
